COLLIDESCOPE produced the first LGBT+ History Month Meeting at Headgate Theatre on 13th February 2025. At this open queer forum a live LGBT+ panel answered questions and discussed the issues that matter most to our fabulous local LGBT+ community. This unique event was free to all and well attended. Since 19th August 2022, local creative and founder of COLLIDESCOPE, Tom Stock has had a stall at Colchester Pride that contains a large blank canvas. During the day everyone who visited the stall can paint paint anything they like on the canvas. The result is a spontaneous rainbow explosion that is as unique as the people that painted it. The title of each piece comes from the latin word for glory (or pride) and the year of its creation in roman numerals. The fourth art piece in this collection was created at Colchester Pride 2025.

In 2022 Tom Stock founded S/ASH a digital zine that supports essex based humans who like to create. In 2024 the digital zine rebranded under COLLIDESCOPE to be part of the non profit organisation. Local creative Laura Love had an idea to create a community pride quilt in May and by June we had come together to collect over 100 patches handmade by people from all different walks of life. Throughout July, Laura curated and sewed the patches together into an art piece which was then displayed for everyone to see at Colchester Pride 2024. Running from 1st to 30th June 2024, every Friday – Monday at Culver Square, this pop up offered a free inclusive experience celebrating the local LGBTQ+ community’s creativity and diversity. There was a range of interactive experiences and workshops, including an art gallery, poetry wall, drag costume display, cosy corner and craft spaces supporting local charities such as Colchester Pride, Open Road, The OutHouse, and Colchester Engagement & Next Steps.
